Q: Why did you choose to locate in Columbus?
A: Ohio is a great manufacturing state, and Columbus is a great insurance town, so it's a perfect blend for us. Our [venture capital] partner, Drive Capital, is also based in Columbus, so we can take full advantage of their resources. The company also offers dental insurance.
Q: What are the pros and cons of being outside of traditional medtech hubs?
A: I think the obvious con is not having deep expertise in unique obstacles and issues in medtech readily available to us for employees and advisors. Beyond that, we think we are in the perfect place in the world for what we are specifically building, a combination of [the] Internet of Things and [the] insurance business.
