Haemonetics's Lopez, new MassMedic chair.

Lisa Lopez, senior vice president and general counsel at Haemonetics Corp. (Braintree, MA), was recently named chair of the board of directors for the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMedic; Boston). The announcement was made in May at MassMedic's annual meeting, held at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston.

MassMedic president Tom Sommer says Lopez has been an active participant and adviser to the organization for the past six years. Lopez previously served as MassMedic's vice chair. She succeeds Josh Tolkoff, president of Seedling Enterprises, as the organization's seventh board chair.

Comprising 285 manufacturers and industry suppliers, MassMedic promotes the interests of the state's medical device sector through seminars, advocacy campaigns, and other projects. The organization also provides information on industry trends and regulatory policies, and creates forums for its members.
