J&J entered the insulin patch pump market back in 2012, when its LifeScan company acquired Calibra Medical, maker of the Finesse Insulin Patch-Pen, a three-day patch designed for mealtime insulin dosing.  J&J CEO Alex Gorsky cited the Calibra Medical Bolus-Only Insulin Patch Pump as evidence of how the company is innovating medical devices for consumers.
