Engineering is a great career. You get to tinker with things, hopefully make a difference in the world, and earn decent money to boot. In fact, seven of the 10 highest-paying jobs are in the engineering field.
On average, an engineer working in the medtech industry in the United States makes $86,940 per year, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. But not all engineering jobs are compensated equally. Here's a look at how salaries break down by engineering discipline.
