The Datwyler Group--the Switzerland-based global industrial supply company--is building a new U.S. plant in Delaware to expand its manufacture of high-quality elastomer components for injectable drug delivery systems. 

Construction will likely start before the end of 2016 on the $102 million plant in Middletown, DE. The new, automated facility is expected to provide jobs for roughly 120 U.S. employees once production starts in the first half of 2018. The new facility will run on top of the 300-employee plant that Datwyler has in Pennsauken, NJ, according to a spokesperson for the company. 

The new plant will be run according to Datwyler's "FirstLine" standards, which draw on ultra-modern clean room technology, automated production cells, fully automated camera inspection, and a unique washing process in order to produce high-quality elastomer components. This company's manufacturing approach is certified to ISO 15378.

With annual revenue of more than $1.2 billion, the Datwyler Group has more than 50 operating companies, sales in over 100 countries and about 7000 employees.
