ImaRx Therapeutics Inc. (Tucson, AZ), a developer of medicines to replace minimally invasive surgery, has hired Randall E. Miller, PhD, as COO and has named Greg A. Cobb its CFO. Miller, who recently served as president and CEO of Dermal Systems International Inc. (San Francisco), will oversee ImaRx's clinical trials in stroke and peripheral arterial occlusions, and guide its R&D and outlicensing programs. Cobb, who previously worked as interim CFO of ImaRx, cofounded and served as managing director of Catalyst Partners, a boutique merger, acquisition, and business development firm. ImaRx's lead product, SonoLysis, is in both Phase I and II studies for stroke, deep vein thrombosis, and peripheral arterial occlusive disease.
