Battelle Healthcare Products (Columbus, OH) is teaming up with ZEVEX International Inc. (Salt Lake City) to offer joint product development and manufacturing services to the medical device industry.

The two companies will join forces to serve as a one-stop shop for customers seeking both R&D and product manufacturing. The firms will coordinate the marketing of their respective capabilities as they synthesize their quality-systems and business processes.

In a May press release, ZEVEX chairman and CEO David McNally points to fluid management, optoelectronics, ultrasonic technologies, and electromechanics as specific fields for which the pairing with Battelle will prove valuable to ZEVEX.

In the same press release, senior vice president and general manager of Battelle Healthcare Products Rich Rosen comments on the benefits Battelle will reap as a result of the partnership. "We are looking forward to accelerated growth of our product development capabilities, and technological innovations in novel drug-delivery systems, breakthrough diagnostic technology, and therapeutic systems and devices," he says.
