You haven't heard the last of these eight companies, which were chosen as finalists in the SXSW Accelerator Awards in the digital health and life sciences category.
South By Southwest (SXSW) started out as a conference to help musicians learn how to better market themselves, but the annual event held in Austin, TX, has somehow morphed into a kind of happening that combines music and film festivals with conferences on topics as disparate as fashion, comedy, marketing, media, design, technology, and social and environmental activism, among others. It has also become a great place for startup companies to gain visibility. This year's event drew a number of young medtech companies, and the spotlight shined especially bright on the eight finalists in the SXSW Accelerator Awards in the digital health and life sciences category. |
