10 Digital Health and Medtech Startups That Shone at SXSW—Kinetic

Kinetic is a New York City-based company that is tackling the massive problem of work-related injuries. Its device, which includes sensors and enables analysis via algorithms, is worn on a worker’s belt and tells workers when they are and are not lifting heavy objects safely, according to the company's website.

The product is also intended to benefit managers and company owners by identifying workers who need training in safe practices and reducing the risk of worker injuries.

Kinetic was one of eight finalists in the Health and Wearable Technologies category of the SXSW Accelerator pitch competition.
