Carolina Mora Lopez
R&D Team Leader of Circuits for Neural Interfaces, imec
Carolina Mora Lopez received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012 from KU Leuven in collaboration with imec. From 2012 to 2018, she worked at imec as a researcher and analog designer focused on designing interfaces for neural-sensing and other biological applications. Since 2018, she has been a team leader of the circuits for neural interfaces team at imec. Her team is responsible for innovating, conceiving, and delivering the ASIC and system solutions of the neurotech program. Lopez currently serves on the technical program committee of the VLSI circuits symposium, ESSCIRC conference, and ISSCC Student Preview.
Carolina’s Recent activity
The next-generation Neuropixels 2.0 probe can record from more than 5,000 sites in the brain, while minimizing tissue damage.
