Qmed industry insider readers had a lot to say when asked why big medical device companies find it so hard to innovate.

The survey was sparked by a story in Qmed's sister media outlet MD+DI: Experts complained that large medtech companies seem to spend more of their billions acquiring the scrappy startups that do the hard work, versus real in-house innovation of their own.
