Ken Niehoff is vice president of global manufacturing for Covidien in North Haven, CT, where he is responsible for one of the world's largest medical device manufacturing operations. Prior to joining Covidien, Mr. Niehoff worked at the Mallinckrodt Co.'s Cincinnati operation, where he served as engineering manager, business unit manager, and plant manager. Mr. Niehoff began his career at the Emerson Electric Co. as a design engineer. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a MS in engineering management from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is also a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Executive Program. He has written numerous articles and holds multiple patents. He has been a member of MD&DI's Editorial Advisory Board since 1993.
