Ipsen Hires Kenneth Maher as New VP of Finance
- Ipsen, a designer and manufacturer of thermal processing systems for the medical market, has hired Kenneth Maher as the new Vice President of Finance, replacing Matt Arndt, who was recently promoted to CEO of Ipsen China. Maher’s office is located at Ipsen’s facility in Cherry Valley and he reports to Geoffrey Somary, President and CEO of Ipsen USA. Maher is responsible for both Ipsen USA Finance and IT departments and will support both local and global strategic initiatives. Prior to Ipsen, Maher was the Senior Director of Finance for DeVry, Inc. where he was responsible for supporting DeVry’s online education business which involved managing several departments including finance, accounting and student finance.
Kevin Ranagan Joins K&G Manufacturing's North American Sales and Marketing
- K&G, a manufactuer of machining parts and sub assemblies for the medical industry, has hired Kevin Ranagan of Savage, MN as the Sales and Marketing Manager for the North American market. Ranagan comes to K&G with a 25-year career in sales an marketing from several industries including consumer products, photography, distribution, automotive, contract office furniture and outdoor power equipment. Rangan will manage all sales & marketing activities for K&G Manufacturing and take the lead on new business development by penetrating new markets and industries while increasing sales and revenues by promoting K&G precision machining capabilities and services.
Kenneth E. Breeding Jr. Appointed to the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Medical Plastics Division Board of Directors
- Kenneth E. Breeding Jr. from Eastman Chemical Company has been appointed to the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Medical Plastics division board of directors through April 2015. During his time on the board, Breeding — the technical platform manager for medical devices, engineering and specialty polymers at Eastman — will serve on the market communication sub-team. As a member of this sub-team, he will help communicate market trends and technology developments for the medical device market segment. Breeding will apply his more than 25 years of expertise to help educate the technical community and address changes in the medical device market. At Eastman, Breeding is responsible for working with medical equipment manufacturers and molders to drive innovation and new application development using Eastman specialty medical-grade polymers.

AMETEK Engineered Medical Components Names Bryan Matters as European Sales Manager
- AMETEK Engineered Medical Components has named Bryan Matters as European Sales Manager. Matters will be responsible for the European sales and marketing of TSE medical device interconnect assemblies (acquired by AMETEK in 2010) and Avicenna laser- and mechanically machined medical components (acquired by AMETEK in 2011). Matters has over 10 years of experience as a technical sales engineer, national account manager and sales specialist. He served most recently as a consultant to several leading European surgical instrument and medical device manufacturers.
