Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick is worried that the medical device tax may hurt his state's economy. The Boston Herald reports that companies such as Zoll Medical have said that healthcare reform could force them to move manufacturing from Massachusetts to an offshore location. Under the companion reconciliation bill, medical device makers would be subject to a 2.3% tax starting in 2013.
