How are mobile technologies being used in healthcare today? Are healthcare organizations looking at new care models by leveraging these technologies? An infographic based on survey responses from IT professionals at these organizations gives us some answers.
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conference held in Orlanda last week was also the venue where the 3rd annual HIMSS Analytics Mobile Survey data was published that looks at the usage of mobile technologies in healthcare.
Not surprisingly, the use of tablet computers is going to increase in the future whereas currently nearly all of the survey respondents supply mobile technology to clinicians, most often laptops and workstations on wheels.
Here is an infographic based on the survey that polled 170 individuals who responded to a web-based survey. Two-thirds of the respondents are IT professionals.
