Armed with 3-D Printers, Amateurs Challenge the Medtech Paradigm: Pink "Lego" Arm

Students at Washington University 3-D printed a robotic prosthetic arm for 13-year-old Sydney Kendall, who lost her right arm in a boating accident six years ago. The pink prosthesis is made from the same plastic as Legos and cost only around $200 to make.
