NuSil Technology - Colored Silicone Inks

NusilSMALL.jpgA supplier of silicone materials  to the medical industry has expanded options for manufacturers wishing to mark or color silicone rubber parts such as catheters, adding five colors of silicone ink to the black marking ink or coating previously available. The red, white, green, bright-blue, dark-blue, and black inks are characterized by a long working time and a nonvolatiles content of approximately 60%. Their viscosities range from 800 to 2850 cP and can be lowered through dilution with a solvent. Because their cure is accelerated with heat, these inks can be used on many different medical devices and are suited for applications requiring rapid curing. The two-part, addition-cure dispersions can be used for pad-printing and silk-screening or simply coloring components. Their adjustable viscosities and cure schedules enhance their versatility.
